LONGMEN SHOW 龙门秀

During the summer of 2024, I joined the Chengdu-based studio Puzaosi as a 3D Generalist intern to support the visual production for Second Hand Rose’s (二手玫瑰) LONGMEN show. For a production of this scale, a two-hour set for one of China's most iconic rock bands, the industry standard typically spans six months to a year. However, our team operated within an accelerated 70-day window. This high-velocity turnaround required a departure from traditional sequential workflows in favor of an agile, AI-integrated pipeline to rapidly generate and iterate on complex stage environments.
While working under the studio’s creative direction, I was entrusted with the technical execution of several scenes, navigating the entire 3D pipeline for specific environments and assets. This involved personally taking each element from initial modeling and texturing through to rigging, animation, and final rendering to ensure my contributions integrated seamlessly into the show’s larger cinematic world.
By balancing AI-driven efficiency with manual technical rigor, I helped translate the band’s avant-garde energy into a cohesive, large-scale visual system that remained clear and impactful across massive LED screens. Much like the fusion of functional object and poetic light, this work was an exercise in maintaining structural logic within the ethereal, fast-moving atmosphere of live performance
